Getting ready
- Lay a blanket or mat on the floor (a floor is safest; a bed has edges).
- Clear about 6 feet (2 m) of space so arms and legs can stretch out.
- Turn off screens and dim the lights if you like.
- Read through the body parts list: toes, feet, legs, tummy, hands, arms, shoulders, face.
⚠️ Safety first: Tensing muscles too hard could cause strain or cramping; keep squeezes gentle. Lying on a bed carries a small fall risk if the child rolls near the edge.
