Get ready for Rainbow Nature Match Hunt

What you need

  • Crayons or markersa handful, optional
  • Paper1 sheet, cut into squares, optional
  • Kid scissors1 pair
  • Paint chip cardsa few, optional

Getting ready

  1. Gather 1 pair of scissors, 1 sheet of paper and a handful of crayons, or a few paint chip cards if you have them.
  2. Set the scissors with the paper (or paint chips) on the table, and stay close by while your child cuts 6 to 10 squares.
  3. Walk the outdoor spot first, check for any plants that might be harmful, and agree on the rule: match by looking, or only collect things already on the ground.

⚠️ Safety first: Scissors used for cutting squares need supervision for young children. Some plants may be harmful; an adult should make sure nothing is picked from them.
