Get ready for Indoor Tape Hopscotch

What you need

  • Painter's tape1 roll
  • Crayons or markers1 marker, optional
  • Rolled socks1 pair, rolled into a ball (instead of a beanbag), optional

Getting ready

  1. Pick a clear hallway or floor stretch about 3 meters (10 feet) long, away from furniture, sharp corners and sliding rugs.
  2. Set out 1 roll of painter's tape and, if using, 1 marker.
  3. Roll 1 pair of socks into a tight ball to use as the beanbag.
  4. Have everyone take off shoes and wear bare feet or grippy socks, and wipe up any spills or dust on the floor.

⚠️ Safety first: slipping or falling while hopping on smooth floors. tripping over furniture near the play area. tape residue or surface damage if non-painter's tape is used.
