Get ready for Grocery Store Scavenger Hunt

Getting ready

1. Write a short find-it list on 1 sheet of paper with your child, leaving space beside each item for a tiny drawing and a check box.
2. Pack 1 pencil, pen or marker for checking off, preferably one with a cap or a blunt tip.
3. Pick a quieter shopping time if you can, and agree on the store rules at home: one hand on the cart or stay in sight, walk in busy aisles, ask before touching anything.
4. Decide together what your child should do if separated, such as staying put and asking a store worker at the checkout for help.
