Safety first
- No physical hazards; played by talking only
- Prompts about getting hurt or being scared could upset some children, so let players skip or choose another topic
What you need
- Paper, 1 sheet (optional)
- Crayons or markers, 1 (optional)
How to do it
Grown-up prep: Gather at least two players and sit in a circle. Have paper and crayons ready for scoring if you like.
- Sit in a circle so everyone can see each other.
- Think of two true things about yourself.
- Now invent one believable fib.
- Tell your three statements in any order.
- Everyone guesses which one is the fib. Ask: Which one do you think is the fib, and what made you pick it?
- Reveal the fib! Ask: Were you fooled? What clue did you miss?
- Take turns until everyone has been the storyteller.
- Count the points! Who fooled the most people? Play again with new facts! Ask: What sneaky trick will you try next round?
