Reindeer Relay Sleigh Run
Here's one to try together!
Make paper antlers, prance like a reindeer, then pull Santa's sleigh to drop presents at every chimney!
Reviewed by our team.

- Crayons or markers, 1
- Kid scissors, 1 pair
- Painter's tape, 1 roll
- Paper, 1 per child
- Laundry basket, 1
- Stuffed toy (Santa), 1

How to do it
Grown-up prep: Clear a safe path on carpet or grass, cut a head-sized paper strip for each child, and set out the antler and sleigh supplies.
- Trace around both your hands on the brown paper.
- Cut out your two hand shapes. Ask for help if you need it
- Tape your hands to a paper strip to make antlers.
- Put cushion chimneys around the house.
- Warm up: prance across the room, lifting your knees up high! Ask: What other ways do you think a reindeer could move?
- Gallop back, then fly around the couch with arms spread wide.
- Crumple paper presents and load them in the sleigh with Santa.
- Pull the sleigh and drop one present at each chimney! Ask: How fast do you think you can deliver all the presents?
- Swap so every reindeer gets a turn pulling the sleigh.
- Now invite a friend or a grown-up to join the herd! Can you beat your best time? Ask: Which reindeer move was your favorite, and why?
Play it again
- Silent night: deliver every present on tiptoe without making a sound.
- Backwards sleigh: walk backward while you pull, slowly and carefully.
- Reindeer says: a grown-up calls out prance, gallop or fly, and everyone switches moves.
