- Kid scissors only. A grown-up cuts the hand shapes for younger kids.
What you need
- Paper
- Crayons or markers
- Kid scissors
- Glue stick
How to do it
Grown-up prep: Draw a simple turkey body circle for each kid.
- Pick your feather colors.
- Spread your fingers and trace around your hand.
- Cut out your hand along the line. Ask for help if you need it
- Make more hands until you have 4 to 6 feathers.
- On each feather, draw or write one thing you're thankful for. Ask: What made you happy this week?
- Give the turkey eyes, a beak and a wobbly red wattle.
- Glue the feathers behind the turkey body.
- Show your turkey to the family, and ask what they're thankful for! Ask: How many feathers can our turkey get by the end of the week?
