Safety first
  • Clear a space away from furniture and stairs before jumping or spinning

What you need

  • Phone or speaker, 1, to play music

How to do it

Grown-up prep: Clear a space big enough for everyone to jump and spin.

  1. Let's warm up. Shake your arms, wiggle your legs and stretch up tall.
  2. Stand in a line with the leader at the front.
Ask: Who wants to lead first?
  3. First, a practice round. The leader does one easy move, like a clap.
  4. The leader does four moves in a row, like jump, clap, spin, wave.
Ask: Can you remember all four?
  5. Everyone copies the moves in the same order.
  6. Add music and do the moves to the beat.
  7. Swap leaders and make the moves sillier each round.
Ask: What is the silliest move you can think of?
  8. When the leader says freeze, everyone stops as still as a statue!
  9. Teach your best four moves to someone who hasn't played yet!
Ask: Who will you teach next?

Play it again

  • Animal leader: every move has to be an animal, like a frog jump or a flamingo stand.
  • Mirror mode: stand face to face and copy at the same time, like a mirror.
  • Add-on: each new leader keeps the last moves and adds one more at the end.
